These Advisory Notices are designed to provide to our clients with information relative to Accredited Management System Certification activities.
After October 1st 2017 no audits have been conducted to ISO/TS 16949:2009.Transition Deadlines are fast approaching by which all ISO/TS standards must be audited and updated to IATF 16949:2016 Version.
All previous versions of the standard will expire on September 14, 2018.
We wanted to be proactive in letting you know that we are currently processing all transition customers, reviewing audit reports and issuing new certificates for each customer.
As this is a large undertaking, there could be some delays and not all certificates will be issued by 9/14/2018.
There may be some instances where our database will show a certificate as expired, however, if your audit was completed by 14th September 2018 you are complying with completing the transition audit on time.
Upon a positive certification decision, DNV GL shall issue an IATF 16949:2016 certificate to the organization.
This certificate shall include the issue date (date of the positive certification decision) and the expiration date (issue date plus a maximum of three (3) years minus one (1) day).
This new certificate shall bear a new IATF number.
The current ISO/TS 16949 certificate (if it is still in an “issued” status), will be automatically superseded in the IATF database.
